I did an art showing last summer which led to a custom order. My client saw a piece in the style above, but it was small for her needs. I ended up doing 3 pieces in the above style which we hung side by side in her home. The frames are reclaimed barn wood and were built by my husband. (Thanks, dude.) They were then dusted lightly with an antique gold spray paint. The painting sits flush with the frame by virtue of a clever lip cut into the frame's inner dimension. The texture of the piece is achieved with layers of tissue paper and the color is applied with acrylics tempered with gloss medium. I loved doing them. I feel a similar series in a fuschia color family coming on!
